The Swamp is Not Draining

President Donald Trump was elected on the promise of “draining the swamp”. Donald Trump’s transition has illustrated that he will not keep the promise. The opportunity to make a statement on that subject was there, but too many swampy politicians were appointed to key positions.

  • Elaine Chao, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, is now Secretary of Transportation.
  • Attorney General pick Jeff Sessions is a career conservative politician and entrenched Republican.

Reform Party Looking for Organizers, Donors, Candidates and Officers

In the last three years, the Reform Party of the United States has tripled its number of officeholders and seen growth. This growth has created further demands for organizers, officers and donors. At the same time, the Reform Party has been increasingly competitive in elections, and can support a growing number of candidates.

The Reform Party’s largest need is organizers on state, local and national levels. These organizers are tasked with overseeing the day to day operations of state and local affiliates. National organizers will serve on or support national standing committees.

The Reform Party Appoints the 2017 – 2019 Communications Committee

The Reform Party Executive Committee met tonight, January 9th, 2017. During this meeting, the Reform Party regional representatives appointed the communications committee membership. The members of the committee will serve until their replacements are named or they resign their positions.

The members are:

  • Erik Wind – First Northeast Representative
  • Jon Winter – Midwest Representative
  • David Collison – Southwestern Representative
  • Nicholas Hensley – Southeastern Representative (First)
  • Cleave Drummond – Southeastern Representative (Second)
