Statement on Alexandria Shooting

Today’s shooting in Alexandra is a reminder of not just how divided we are as a nation, but that some radicals on both the left and the right resort to violence. In the United States of America, violence is neither necessary nor beneficial. In American politics we change our government at the ballot box, and not at the point of a gun.

Statement on President Trump’s 34 Percent Approval Rating

In recent polls, President Donald Trump’s approval rating sits at 34 percent. There are several reasons for this low approval rating, and the Reform Party would like to point out several issues that have negatively affected Trump’s administration. Reform Party of Florida Protects Ballot Access

The Reform Party of Florida protected its ballot access. It will have ballot access through the midterm elections. The state affiliate is working to put two candidates on the line for state office in 2018. At this point in time, the Reform Party is working to gather resources to improve its position in Florida. Time for Nonpartisan Special Investigation

The recent firing of FBI director Comey has sparked bipartisan interest in a special nonpartisan investigation. The Reform Party would like to voice its support for a nonpartisan special investigation into White House ties with the Russia. If Republican Congressman believe that there is nothing for the Trump Administration to hide, they should allow an investigation to proceed in order to clear any speculation of illegal activity from the White House.

Democrats Learned Nothing from 2016 Loss

The Democrats have proved they learned nothing from their 2016 electoral loss. Rather then making changes, and supporting candidates that can rally their base, the Democrats have supported establishments candidates at the dispense of populist challengers. In doing so, the Democrats have threatened their chances of winning any special Congressional seats. This love affair with special interest backed candidates, rather then populists that can rally the traditional Democratic voters they loss in 2016, shows that they are not ready to emerge from the wilderness. It is for this reason that traditional Democratic voters should look for an alternative to the Democratic Party.

The House Healthcare Bill is Political Theater

Earlier this week, the House GOP passed an Obamacare repeal bill. This bill was passed among partisan lines, except for twenty GOP members that voted with the Democrats. The American Healthcare Act, (AHCA) however will die in the Senate, because a number of GOP Senators have come out against the bill.
