Today the nation pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. whose efforts contributed to the end of racial segregation on public transport and greater racial equality in the United States.

The Reform Party wishes all of you a safe and happy New Year holiday and a prosperous and successful year. 2012, the Year of Reform!

We must never assume, in the midst of our own cares, that there is no force in the world that would dare touch our lives.  As was proven on December 7, 1941 and again on September 11, 2001, no nation can presume its own safety from outside attack.

Remember those who lost their lives.

Learn the lessons of the past.

Give thanks to those service members who safeguard our future.

In a dramatic display of just how uncommitted Democrats and Republicans are to restoring fiscal responsibility to the federal government, members from both parties failed to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on Friday. The vote, which was included in legislation that Congress passed just a few months ago when it voted to increase the nation’s debt ceiling beyond $14 trillion, was opposed by a large group of Democrats as well as some Republicans.
