Reform Party of North Carolina Urges Independent Voters to Vote “No” on GOP Power Grab

“The recent ballot amendments are nothing more then a GOP power grab,” said Reform Party of North Carolina Chairman Nicholas Hensley, “independent voters should vote no on these NC ballot amendments”.

These comments come on the eve of a special legislative session to iron out several proposed changes to the state Constitution. Recently in North Carolina, the state court system threw out several GOP backed amendment proposals because of vagueness in the proposal’s language.

The North Carolina GOP has spent several years consolidating power in North Carolina. Due to the Republican’s most recent move, during this year’s election, the voters will head to the polls and vote on five ballot measures aimed at taking power away from Democratic Governor Roy Cooper and handing it to the Republican controlled legislature.
