The California Secretary of State published the Report on Voter Registration. This report is published several times a year to inform the voters of California how many people are registered to each party. This is important, because for a political organization to gain ballot access, it must have 60,000 voters registered as members. It is the first time in the history of the report that a registered and recognized political body was left off. Due to the Secretary of State’s negligence, the Constitution Party was also left off the report.
The California Secretary of State must and should release the Reform Party voter registration statistics immediately.
This is damaging to the Reform Party, because we have no way to measure if we are reaching our short and mid-term goals towards having 60,000 registered members for ballot access.
