It’s a win-win-win for the employer, employee, and the American Economy when the small business sector is booming!
A small business employer is often a person motivated to be their own boss or he/she may simply wish to pursue their life’s passion while earning a living. Sometimes the small business owner is dissatisfied with their life in Corporate USA. Whatever the reason, small business owners are happier in their business where they can be the boss. They have challenges, yes, but they are problem-solvers at heart.
How happy are they?

But, of course, not every problem is easy to solve. The three most significant small business challenges are a lack of cash flow (or capital), recruiting/retaining employees, and marketing/advertising. The pandemic has added a whole new set of challenges to small businesses.
Take the case of hiring people in a small business as an example.
Many small businesses have traditionally high turnover rates; however, the current issue is no longer retention but recruitment. Here’s why:

The Labor Department just announced March data results showing an unemployment rate of 3.6%. That’s a better number than before the pandemic began. With such low unemployment, small business is finding the Law of Supply and Demand applies to the Labor market. Fewer people available to work equals higher wages for those who do. In addition to higher wages, many small businesses use sign-on bonuses as tools to entice a candidate into the door to hopefully become a long-term employee.
One mainstream political party falsely accused American workers of being lazy. “No one wants to work when they are paid so much money while on unemployment,” they said. However, once the March unemployment data was released, they became strangely silent. Blaming the worker and unemployment compensation is a time-worn tactic of that political party.
Today, the small business owner is in-between the Anvil of Full Employment and the Hammer of Inflation. Not a great place to be. And yet, small business re-openings are booming! In 2021, there were 5 million new business start-ups!
The Reform Party of the United States sees the value of small businesses in the American Economy, especially because they are the nation’s largest employer of American Workers. The enthusiasm of small enterprises to re-open shuttered storefronts is in-your-face evidence of confidence in the American Economy. While there are always hundreds of gloom-and-doom pundits in the press, when we see that a small business entrepreneur invests in America to earn a living, we are reassured the economy is strong. A bright future exists for American Workers.
Rather urgently, the Reform Party asks for your support to spread the word about us. Your kitchen-table politics and your cracker-barrel conversations are necessary. Spread the word to your friends and family. Tell them the Reform Party of the USA supports people who work for a living.
Like Ross Perot said, “Most new jobs won’t come from our biggest employers. They will come from our smallest. We’ve got to do everything we can to make entrepreneurial dreams a reality.”
If you are able, please contribute your time and/or your money to the Reform Party. Not everyone can. So, if you can donate on behalf of others, please do.
