Inflation is stoking a bonfire of Misery in America. In the first fourteen months of the Biden presidency, the Misery Index has risen almost 50%.
Combining inflation and unemployment, the Misery Index represents the economic burden placed on the working class in America.
Inflation grew from a measly 1.68% to a whopping 7.88% in just one year! All gains made by reducing unemployment from 6.2% to 3.8% were erased and exceeded by inflation.
The wealthy in America can easily afford to pay more for the products and services they consume. However, the working class runs quickly out of paycheck; and their household budget is stretched until it is broken.
The rich always get richer. And inflation doesn’t prevent that from happening. Here’s what happens in real life.

The economic benefits of capitalism no longer accrue equally across American society. Prior to President Nixon, all economic levels benefitted from wealth that accumulating in America. Since President Nixon, the poor and working class have struggled to keep a roof over their heads. Looking at this chart tells you why.

What created this economic tsunami that drowned the working class and floated the superyachts of the rich? Getting off the gold standard. President Nixon was afraid of increasing inflation and high unemployment and how that might impact his re-election. So, he broke the system for the underclass and let wealth flow upwards to the rich. He put America on a cheap dollar basis. And that allowed all the benefits of capitalism to flow up to the rich. In a fire hose.
More than any other, the working class has carried the economic burden of cheap dollars.
It’s time to reform the system that forces an average American to metaphorically carry tons of cheap dollars every day so the rich in America can afford body sculpting and Barbados vacations.
The Reform Party believes a strong dollar is best for American workers. It’s time for the benefits of capitalism to accrue to workers whose hands (and hearts) build our country every day.
The Reform Party needs your help. It requires the best among you to run for political office and support the Reform Party platform. It needs your hard-earned dollars to fund political campaigns against Democrats and Republicans who support a cheap dollar policy for the wealthy. It requires you to tell your friends the Reform Party is on America’s side. Your side. The American worker’s side.
The Reform Party needs people who care about the working class for the long term. Not just between election cycles.
Join the movement that doesn’t take your dollars for taxes but allows the dollars you earn to bring home more for your family.
