Vice Chair, Leigh Pollet
Leigh is the newly elected Vice-Chair of the national Reform Party and the immediate past Treasurer (2016-2020). He has served as the party’s NYS Vice-Chair and the Nassau County (NY) Chair.
Leigh has a long history of active involvement in politics. He became the youngest executive/Zone Leader in the Nassau County (NY) Democratic Party, running numerous campaigns. When the County legislature was enacted in 1996, he ran the Republican campaign for the first woman (and first African-American) ever elected to countywide office. He then became a Republican committeeman and continued running successful campaigns until 2010 when he founded a local party, The Boardwalk Party in Long Beach NY – which assisted in upending city council elections in a victory which swept the council seats. Since then, he has been a member of the Reform Party.
Leigh is a former bank executive, starting and running multi-billion dollar divisions/subsidiaries for financial institutions. He has a reputation for ‘turning-around’ unsuccessful divisions and bringing them to profitability. He left the nation’s largest bank in 2010 to start Pollet Associates, a successful New York real estate consulting and appraisal company, concentrating on complex and high-value property valuations especially for litigation.
Leigh’s involvement in community extends to over 40 years, the last 33 in Uniondale, NY, where he is a national high school Hall-of-Fame Track Coach at Uniondale High School. He has coached over 10 Olympians, more than 30 members of USA and foreign national teams and multiple “All-American’s” and national and state champions.
