Citizen's rights:
The Reform Party actively fights for a citizen's rights: to vote without restriction; to own or purchase a firearm while ensuring those not allowed to do so by law are restricted; to protest peacefully without fear of police or governmental infringement, unless public safety is actively put at risk; to worship as one chooses without fear; to have the opportunities to acquire and improve Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; to ensure that one's personal information is not misused by businesses, the government, and healthcare without permission.
As certain Constitutional Rights are specifically mentioned by the founders of the United States, the Reform Party supports the Constitutional limiting of federal government power and recognizes that all other powers not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government, whether specified or encompassed by the 10th Amendment, are reserved for the States and for the People.
We believe that legitimate governments, by their nature, may limit individual rights and freedoms only to the extent necessary to enable the society to live together peacefully, ensuring that one person's activities do not infringe on another person's rights and freedoms. We recognize that the federal government's mandate is to regulate commerce, not align with business interests in opposition to citizens interests.
