The Reform Party believes that all forms of energy production which allow the US to remain free of foreign dependence in this regard is important, while it also supports research and development into green energies. The Reform Party fully believes that with a balanced approach our natural environment and resources can be maintained while aiding our economic development and energy needs.

Energy independence from foreign sources means that America should invest in increasing conventional domestic sources such as coal, oil, and natural gas; while driving more research and development toward cost-effective and durable production of alternative energy technologies such as solar, wind, thermal depolymerization of organic waste, and biofuels. Doing so will lead to energy independence from foreign sources and make the nation a world energy leader.
