On January 20th, 2023, Reform Party member Tony Jones was appointed to the Narragansett, Rhode Island Historic Cemetery Commission. He is the fourth person supported by the Reform Party of the United States to be elected or appointed to a public office in the past nine months.
In April of 2022, Reform Party member Shawn Storm was appointed to the zoning board of Richland County, Montana. During the November elections, the Reform Party of New York backed Taylor Darling for State Legislature and the Wake County Reform Party of North Carolina cross endorsed Libertarian nominee Jennifer Wadsworth for Wake County Soil and Water Board. Ms. Darling and Ms. Wadsworth both won their election.
Tony Jones is a qualified officeholder. Before being appointed to the Narragansett, Rhode Island Historic Cemetery Commission, he was an elected member of the of the North Kingston School Department Committee. For his day job, he hosts the radio broadcast Tony Jones in the Morning on 101.1 FM WBRU-LP Providence, RI. He is also working with the Reform Party National Committee to develop a podcast that will debut this year.
The Narragansett Historical Cemetery Commission was established on September 15, 2008 to create an inventory of historical cemeteries within the Town, formulate and develop plans and programs to restore, rehabilitate, and maintain historical cemeteries within the Town, coordinate volunteer activities, and recommend actions necessary to implement said plans and programs to the Town Manager.
The Historical Cemetery Commission has up to five (5) members serving three-year terms.
