For Immediate Release – The Reform Party of North Carolina has endorsed Shelane Etchison as their candidate for North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District.
Shelane Etchison joined the US Army after 9/11, where she was deployed to Iraq as a military police platoon leader. After her deployment, she moved to Fort Bragg and was selected for a special operations program that deployed women on combat operations with Army Rangers and Navy Seals. During her special operations assignment, she was charged with gaining intelligence on targets in Afghanistan. During her third deployment, she was a partner to female Kurdish military units fighting ISIS in Syria.
After an 11 year military career, Ms. Etchison left the military to attend Harvard University School of Business and obtained a Master’s Degree from the Kennedy School of Government. She has worked internationally on economic development projects, domestically as a security consultant, and volunteers for youth and Afghan resettlement programs.
“Both parties are complicit in our soaring national debt and threatening our collective prosperity,” Shelane argues.
Shelane Etchison is also endorsed by the Forward Party.
