The Republican Party gutted its platform by removing fifty pages of content. During this removal, the Republican Platform Committee removed all of the GOP’s substantial issues.
The Reform Party of the United States has seized this opportunity. Originally founded in 1995 by followers of Ross Perot, the Reform Party’s platform was largely integrated into the Republican Platform in 1998. Dubbed “The Contract with America”, the Republicans neutered Perot’s party by taking on stances on such issues as term limits, deficit reduction, balanced budget and the creation of a child tax credit.
Despite the Republican Party taking a large portion of the Reform Party’s platform, the Reform Party fought on, and advocated for election and ethic reforms while calling out both the Democrats and Republicans for ignoring their own fiscal platforms.
All of the Reform Party’s platform stances were cut from the 2024 Republican Platform. The Republican Platform also cut many of its bread and butter issues like abortion, 2nd Amendment and small government, which are being advocated by other minor parties.
“The Reform Party was given back its full toolbox of issues,” said Reform Party Chairman Nicholas Hensley. “Fiscal responsibility. Balanced budget. Smaller government. Ethics reform. Election reform. Lobbying reform. Modernizing the child tax credit. Constitutional Rights include 2A among others. Donald Trump threw all of these issues at our feet and walked off. It is time to work”.
Hensley points out that the current national debt stands at nearly 35 trillion. The United States government also borrows 1 trillion dollars every four months.
Within hours of the Republican Party announcing its new proposed platform, the Reform Party took to social media to unleash a blistering attack about the lack of the Republican Party’s fiscal responsibility planks.
The Reform Party also released this image about the Republican Party’s stances on ethics reform.
“The Reform Party nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for President of the United States,” said Reform Party Vicechairman Leigh Pollet. “Kennedy said give me a sword and some ground to stand on, and I will give you back your country. Donald Trump gave Kennedy and the Reform Party all the ground we need”.
The Reform Party is a moderate, centrist party founded in 1995 by the supporters of Ross Perot. The Reform Party advocates for a moderate platform centered around common sense, moderate solutions for today’s political issues. It is funded by small donors and has never taken money from political action committees (PACs). It is possible to find out more about the Reform Party, or donate a small amount, by visiting www.reformparty.org. The Reform Party is always looking for new leaders and candidates for office.
